No morbidity at all. A reverence, perhaps, which is fitting. You do seem to touch on the tenuous aspect of life. Very nicely done, Sir.
and I didn't know Bill, but from everything I've read that people have said about him, it seems to me that he was someone who knew how to live. That is itself is a testament to the kind of man he was.

Whoa!! Awesome tone to that guitar - fantastic sound! Goes without saying, the guitar playing is superb. Love the drums too - they sound very "live". I spoke to Bill briefly a few times when I was first on DMusic - a very helpful guy with a great sense of humor

Beautiful intro... has a very much Floyd start... but then when the guitars double-up... WAW!!!
Some really fine work here - reminding me ovall of a WishBoneAsh (another band I really enjoy!).
Will definitly be adding this to my PLAYIST!!!

Cool composition. Parts of this remind me somewhat of that 90125 album that Yes put out when they reformed. I kept expecting Jon Anderson's vocal to come in and begin a falsetto melody at any time. Fantastic guitar work. There seemed to be a moment in the introduction where the arpeggiated guitar didn't seem quite in sync with the kick drum, but it all came together as soon as the body of the song commenced.
Very very nice sound on this Gene.

A pause for reflection... Bill will be missed, but as long as he touched so many people, he will always be with us. And this is a lovely way to remember him, and to remind us all that life is short-- so live it!! Beautiful track, Gene... and

This is made to be played LOUD!, it sounds great that way.. Its so epic. Everything comes across perfectly. The haunting duel leads, and the drums work well together. The song is short, hence, Life Is Short, the concept is loud and clear. Nice tune, and a nice tribute to a lost for now friend.

Very emotional guitar. Sounded as though it were crying, and yet hoping for more time to cry. Thanks for sharing this.

gene, you have captured a sad, yet hopeful kind of feel here for me. the build up of the drums and strings resonated within me. i was interrupted by the sort of flat (bridge?) around 1:04-1:29,but what do i know!
your work ode to this man named bill, whom i'd never met, is beautifully written, performed and mastered, and really broke thru the clouds.
